Murray Richards, 81, of Gary In, was granted his wings on Friday, April 30, 2021. He was born September 26, 1939 in Gary, Indiana to Shelley and Elizabeth Richards. He served in the United States Army. He worked many years as a laborer for Local 81. He was preceded in death by daughter Monique Richards, father, Shelley Richards, mother Elizabeth Richards, brothers Luther Richards and Levi Richards, sisters Adline Tabron and Laura-Lee Membres. He is survived by his children, Lamario Richards of Hammond, In, Marion (Carl) Pipkin and Melissa (Marcell) Buckman of Indianapolis, In.; brother Willis Richards of Mesa, Az, niece Elizabeth Membres- Rendell of Gary, In, 12 grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation, Monday, May 10, 2021 from 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. with funeral services to immediately follow at 11:00a.m. all services at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 West 11th Avenue. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
