Poet. Born Francisco Brines Bañó, he was the last surviving member of the so-called Generation of 1950. Brines was awarded the Cervantes Prize in 2020, the most prestigious award in Spanish letters. Among his books, "Las Brasas" and "El Otoño de las Rosas." Shortly before he died at the hospital, his family gave him a sheet of paper and he wrote "I love you." According to his wishes, he will be buried along with his parents.
