Mrs. Hunter died Saturday at an Oskaloosa nursing home.
She was born Aug. 16, 1903, in Grantville, Kansas, the daughter of John Abel and Ida Mae Williamson. She spent most of her life in the Perry community. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Perry.
Mrs. Hunter married Clarence Hunter on June 18, 1925, in Lawrence. He died April 13, 1975.
Survivors include a daughter, Lila Pearson, Perry; a son, Bill, Leavenworth; two sisters, Catherine Parnell, Topeka, and Josephine Tenpenny, Kansas City, Kan.; two brothers, Roy Abel, Perry, and Johnny Abel, Topeka; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
