Apostle Earnest James was born on August 23, 1936 to the late Fred and Susie Mae Murray James. He departed this life on August 11, 2011 at his residence after a brief illness. He attended Old Glenwood School and joined St. Paul at an early age. Apostle James was married to the late Evangelist Rudene Troupe James. He reestablished Oakwalkee House of Prayer in Glenwood, GA where he served as pastor until God called him home.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a foster daughter: Kishana M. Collins of McRae, GA; his sister: Lucille James Wilbur of Dublin, GA; two brothers: Allen James of Glenwood, GA and Bennie James of Dublin, GA; a mother-in-law: Katie Troupe of Glenwood, GA; six sisters-in-law: Dezetroa Miles of Alamo, GA, Doris Troupe and Zadene (William) Brazell both of Glenwood, GA, Ruby Moore of Vidalia, GA, Ann (Pookie) James of Dublin, GA, Dorothy McRae of Belle Glade, FL and Emma (Robert) Troupe of Ft. Meyers, FL; five foster grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation: Thursday August 18, 2011, 10am - 7pm at Vincent R Drummer Funeral Home - McRae Chapel.

Funeral: Friday August 19, 2011, 1:00 - PM at Evergreen True-Vine Holiness Unto the Lord Church.

Bishop Annians Phillips - Pastor Bishop Vincent R. Drummer - Eulogist Interment will follow in Boatwright #1 Cemetery.
