Buried on 13 October 1884. Died aged 35 years old at home, 98 Renfrew Road, Glasgow. Cause of death was consumption.

His parents were Charles Scott and Alison Mack.

He married Catherine Duncanson Ewen in 1876 in Blythswood, Glasgow.

He is buried alongside three of their children in lair C232. His wife and a further 2 of their children are interred in lair C233.

His sister Isabella Scott (228418975) and her family are interred in lairs C235 and C236 which are directly behind where John and his family are buried.

The gravestone has fallen off it's plinth and is lying to the right of where it was originally. It is now also facing the wrong way.

John purchased lairs C232 and C233 on 31 July 1896. He stated he was an auctioneer and valuator. He registered the lairs under his business address which was, 7 West Nile Street, Glasgow.
