She is survived by her children; Mary Joanne "Jody" Mueller of Danville, IL, Thomas (Sherry) Mueller of Dallas, TX; Barbara (Thomas) Smith of St. Charles, MO, Karen (Richard) Tulli, of Dallas, TX, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was a very proud grandmother and great-grandmother.
Anne enjoyed projects that involved needle and thread. Whether it was sewing, crocheting, knitting, needlepoint, or crewel her workmanship was superb. She made all of the clothes her three girls wore growing up. In retirement, she volunteered at the local hospital, crocheting tiny soft baby caps for newborns to wear home and delivered them by the boxful to the OB unit. She also loved gardening and flowers of all kinds; throughout her life she enjoyed having a big vegetable garden in the backyard, including planting, harvesting, and canning. Friends and neighbors shared in bounty from the garden because it produced so much. For a time, she also tended the flowers that beautified the landscaping at St. Paul's Church.
A Christian Mass of Burial for Anne will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, June 21, 2021 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Danville with Fr. Bo Schmitt officiating. She will be laid to rest at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery next to Fred. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville are in charge of arrangements. Please join Anne's family in sharing photos, memories, and videos on her Tribute Wall at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com
In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
