Jean-Marie Lawrence
NOVEMBER 2, 1986 – JUNE 16, 2021
Jean-marie Lawrence entered in to eternal life on June 16th 2021. She was a strong advocate for many including disability rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, civil rights and women rights to name a few. She was a graduate of Red Bank High school and received both her Bachelors and Masters degrees at UTC. She was Ms Wheelchair Tennessee 2012, served of the Chattanooga Mayors Council for Disabilities, the Council on Developmental Disabilities in Nashville. Jean-Marie is a member of our Council and also on the board for our national organization for councils across the country. Jean-Marie worked at UTC in the office of Safety and Risk Management as the Emergency Management Planner for 4years a job she lived.
She leaves behind her mother Barbara, her father Craig and step-mom Julie, her sister Kaitlyn, her brother Matthew, her niece Blakely who she treasured. As well as aunts, uncles, cousins and so many friends that she called family.
A celebration of her life will be held in the near future and just remember keep your fork the best is yet to come.
