Rev. Benajah Mason was the son of Allen and Bethial (Chase) Mason. He was the husband of Elvira A. (Barrett) Mason. Elvira died January 15, 1810. Rev. Mason was a minister in the Oneida Conference and Central New York Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He was ordained Deacon in 1835.
