Christine Pope, 99, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2021, in Waxahachie, Texas. Graveside services will be at Waxahachie City Cemetery.
Christine was born on September 26, 1921, in Sparta, Tennessee, to the late William Brown and Lenora Bell Passons. She was married to Richard A. Pope until his death in 1996. She worked for A & P grocery in Dallas, Texas, for many years until moving to Waxahachie, Texas, where she worked for Town & Country Beauty Shop until her retirement.
She was very active in many clubs, her favorite being the Heirloom Club. She also enjoyed lots of activities at the Waxahachie Senior Community where she resided and had many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; sons, Dickie Pope and Larry Pope; and grandson, Michael Pope.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Rosser and her husband, Bill; daughter-in-law, Linda Pope; grandchildren: Tammy Pope, Allen Pope and his wife, Eva, Ken Rosser and his wife, Cathy, Chris Rosser, and Ricky Pope and his wife, Keesha; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. B5
