MRS. JOSEPH MCDERMOTT
The death of Mrs. Joseph McDermott, of 494 North Main Street, City, occurred yesterday at Summit Convalescent Home, Laurel Run.
She was born in Ireland and came to this country at an early age. She was the former Belinda Loftus. She was a charter member of St. John the Evangelist Church, North Main Street, and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph, retired, former supervisor of attendants and oxygen service at General Hospital; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Dolan, Wilkes-Barre; brother, Thomas Loftus, in Ireland.
Funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9 from the Spellman Funeral Home. 309 North Main Street, followed by a High Mass of Requiem in St. John the Evangelist Church at 9:30. Interment will be in the family plot at St. Mary's Cemetery,Hanover Township.
Friends may call tonight. 7 to 9 and Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m.
