Born on February 7, 1943 in Greenwood, SC, he was the son of the late Lewis Andrews and the late Rosa "Love" Mitchell Andrews.
As a child, Bernard attended West Side School. As a teenager, he relocated to Augusta, GA, where he dedicated much of his adult life helping the less fortunate within his community, with his knowledge in dentistry.
Bernard leaves to mourn in his passing his sister, Viola Robertson of Waterbury, CT; his brother, Roger Jessie Andrews; a stepsister, Johnnie M. Lagroone of Greenwood, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, cousins and associates.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Chapel of Robinson & Son Mortuary, Inc., conducted by Rev. Clarence White.
Burial will follow in the Evening Star Cemetery.
The family is at the home of a cousin, Gladys Moore, 205 Coleman Street, Grendel Mills.
