Mrs. Dent, 78, died early Friday morning at Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City after a short illness.
She was born in Lucas, Iowa, the daughter of Bert and Lola Scott. She homesteaded with the family as a young girl on Bowers Creek, near Biddle, Mont. In 1921, she married Joe Dent at Hot Springs, S.D. They lived on the family homestead until 1939, when they moved to Broadus.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Roger of Hulett, Wyo., Joe Jr. of Wickenburg, Ariz., and Leslie of Fargo, N.D.; two daughters, Vivian Meade of Auburn, Wash., and Susan Nisley of Broadus; a brother, Walter of Laramie, Wyo.; a sister, Jessie Johnson of Hulett, Wyo.; 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Powder River Congregational Church in Broadus with burial in Valley View Cemetery. Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home is in charge." The Billings Gazette, March 16, 1985
