Leora Marie LeJeune Amy began her heavenly journey surrounded by her loved ones on July 09, 2021 at the age of 71 and now is walking hand-in-hand with her Lord, Savior, and friend Jesus Christ. Her unshakable faith and unending love had guided her throughout life.
Leora was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role of being Memaw & Gram to her grandchildren. Even at the very end, she simply wanted to take care of the people she loved so dear.
She was a devoted member of the Crowley First Church of the Nazarene, the "Pink Ladies" at Ochsner Acadia General Hospital, and countless other ministries including the CB ministry of REACT where she used the call name "Mountain Mover". Throughout the years she has gained many wonderful friends and touched the lives of countless people. She had a special way of expressing love to everyone she met and will continue to have a special place among the hearts of all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Larry Lanthier & Jackie Amy, her parents Elridge & Alix Myers LeJeune, three sisters Leona Blanchard, Mary Clement, & Thelma Istre, and two brothers Harold LeJeune & E.J. LeJeune.
She is the loving & devoted mother of Morris Lanthier of St Peter Mn, Tammy Lanthier of Maxie La, Willie Lanthier & wife Lauren of Lake Charles La, Danny Amy & wife Chasity of Pineville La, and James "Jamie" Amy of Maxie La.
She is the adored Memaw & Gram to seven grandchildren: Jackie Scott, C.J. Scott, Brittanie Lanthier & fiance Israel, Paris Phrakonekham, Landyn Amy, Gracie Amy, and Mia Aguillard.
She is the cherished sister of her last sibling, Gene LeJeune & wife Reve of Kokomo In.
