Mr. Hinson, a native of Hohenvald, Tenn., was a veteran of the U.S.Army and a son of the late James Polk and Frances Spears Hinson.

Mr. Hinson was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Surviving are his wife, Elsie Hinson; a son, James Hinson of Paducah; two daughters, Donna Conner and Dorothy Moon, both of Hohenwald; a sister, Hazel Spears of Hohenwald; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Fourteen brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lindsey Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold Council will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
