"Funeral for Hazel Spears
Hazel Samantha Spears, 85, of 113 North PIne Street, died September 2 at Lewis County Manor.
Funeral service for Mrs.Spears will be held today, Thursday, Spetember 4, 2:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home with Artie Collins, minister of Springer Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in the Springer Cemetery.
A native of Hohenwald, Mrs. Spears was the daughter of the late Polk and Drucilla Frances Spears Hinson. She was born March 3, 1912 and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a son, Arlin Spears.
Mrs. Spears is survived by her husband, Finis Spears; a son, Waylon Spears; two daughters, Retha [sic] Shults and Josephine Grimes; eight grandchildren, ten grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren." (end transcription - hmh)
