"Mrs. Nannie J. Davenport, 88, a sister of J. DeCourcy of Nineteenth and Norwood died at Mr. DeCourcy's home at 11:30 p.m. Friday. Although Mrs. Davenport had been ill for some time, the immediate cause of death was a fall suffered some time ago when she received a broken hip.
Mrs. Davenport is survived by four children, Ed Davenport of Magazine, Ark., Mrs. Viola Karnes of Central City, Ky., Mrs. J. L. Stirsman of Bremen, Ky., and Mrs. John Kittinger of Central City, Ky.; besides two sisters, Mrs. J. L. Hilton of Elkton, Ky., and Mrs. P. P. Woody of Independence.
The time of the funeral has been set for 2:30 p. m. Monday at the home and burial will be at the Mount Washington Cemetery." Independence Examiner (Independence, Missouri), November 3, 1928
