Ann Hamel, age 88, of Panama City, FL, passed away on May 7, 2021. She was born to Anthony and Marie Totaro on May 7, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY. Ann was a guidance counselor at Lynn Haven Elementary School for many years, then worked part-time at St. John Catholic Academy for a few years after retiring from Bay District Schools. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Robert D. Hamel, and they are now joyously back together in Heaven.

She is survived by her children, Robert T. (Shari) Hamel, Mark (Julee) Hamel, Patti (John) McKinney, Linda (Chris) Marti, Michelle (David) Walker, and Laura (John) Miller, Sr., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 13, at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 4:00 to 5:30 PM. Visitors may stay for a reciting of the Rosary from 5:30 to 6:00 PM. On Friday, May 14, a funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with burial to follow at the Catholic Cemetery on Frankford Ave.

Flowers are welcome, or you may make a donation to the St. John Catholic Academy. The family will be wearing blue to the service, as that was Ann's favorite color. All are welcome to join us in this tribute.
