OBITUARY
Veda Edginton, 85, of 510 Randolph, passed away Saturday morning, June 15, 1991, at a local health care center following an extended illness. She was born December 27, 1905, at Wilford, Idaho, the daughter of Mattias C. and Sarah Jane Birch Smith.

She married Edmund Hobart Edginton on August 26, 1931, at Bozeman, Montana. They then made their home in Twin Groves and Island Park before moving to St. Anthony. They moved to Pocatello 50 years ago, where she resided until her death. Veda and 'Hobe' received their endowments in the Idaho Falls Temple on August 26, 1964.

Hobe passed away May 25, 1971, and Veda then concentrated her life on her family and church. She was very active in the LDS Church, and had held many positions. She was especially interested in genealogy, and worked several years in the Family History Center. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and had held offices in this organization.

Survivors include one son, Ronald Thomson, Teton, Idaho; one daughter, Veda Mae Larson, Pocatello; two brothers, Dale Smith, Inkom, Idaho; Clayton C. Smith, Inkom, Idaho; Clayton C. Smith, Blakcfoot, Idaho; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, two brothers and two daughters.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 19, 1991, at noon in the Pocatello LDS 15th Ward Chapel at 1440 Lakeview, with Bishop Donald Hansen officiating. The family will receive friends at the ward chapel for one hour prior to time of service on Wednesday. Interment will be in the Wilford Cemetery, Idaho.
