Robert Donald Thomas, 87 of Mt. Washington, passed away July 14, 2021. He was born in Louisville to the late James K. & Anna Margaret A. (Whalen) Thomas on May 6, 1934.

Robert was a graduate of Flaget High School. He served his country in the United States Army, and was a proud Veteran. Robert was a devout Catholic, a longtime parishioner of St. Rita Catholic Church, as well as St. Xavier Catholic Church, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a Co-Owner of J.C. Industries.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Kelley Berglund, his grandson Elton Harbin, and his siblings Louise Henley, Elizabeth Elliott, Gladys Schmidt, Anthony Thomas, Irvine Thomas, & Jenny Foreman.

Left to cherish his memory, his wife of 66 years, Jeannine M. Thomas; children Dennis Leo Thomas (Caraline), Donna J. Thomas, Jeffery A. Thomas (Karen), & Tracy M. Large; grandchildren, Timothy Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Samuel Mattingly, Deanna Thomas, Nicole Harbin, Wesley Leo Thomas, Anthony Thomas, Alexander Berglund, Stanley Donald Thomas, & Adrian Harbin; four great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was a selfless individual who cherished Jeannine, the love of his life; he will be greatly missed!

Visitation Monday, July 19, 2021 2-7pm. Funeral Mass Tuesday, July 20, 2021, 10am, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Hwy. A Private burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens.
