Clifford "Cliff" Harrington, 73, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2021, at his home in Driftwood, Texas. In the weeks prior to his passing, he was surrounded by family and made wonderful memories.

Cliff was born on November 20, 1947, in Lafayette, Louisiana to Clifford and Norma Harrington.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Elizabeth. He is dearly remembered by his children, daughter Dr. Erin "Kate" Harrington and husband Frank Gallegos; and son Clifford "Beau" Harrington and wife Beth. He also leaves one grandchild, Clifford Gallegos, and two sisters, Pat Reddrick and Dr. Donna Ryan.

Upon graduating with honors from The University of Southwestern Louisiana, he received a full scholarship to the University of Colorado Law School. After earning his Doctor of Jurisprudence, he and Elizabeth moved to Northern Virginia, where he began his highly successful law career. Included in his accomplishments were admission to the United States Supreme Court bar, holding the position of senior partner at Fisher Wayland, and chairing the communication law group for Pillsbury Winthrop. Upon retirement, he and Elizabeth moved to Driftwood, Texas where they enjoyed Hill Country living on their three acres.

Cliff's real joy was collecting and selling vintage fountain pens. He was renowned for his expertise in Wahl Eversharp models and was dedicated to restoring them to their original beauty. While pursuing his passion, he and his wife traveled extensively across the United States and Europe, developing a large, diverse, and loyal group of friends from around the world. While stateside, he enjoyed smoking brisket in his outdoor kitchen and spending quality time with his grandson.

Visitation will be held at Delhomme Funeral Home on Saturday, July 10 at 1:00 PM, followed by a brief graveside service at the Lafayette Protestant Cemetery.

Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, LA is in charge of funeral arrangements.
