The late Mrs. Siviah Hudson-Sanderson, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Clark, was in her 94th year. When she was 12 years old her mother died and she was brought up by Mrs. Hurd of Georgetown. At 16 she married Uriah Townsend Hudson of Eaton and during nearly all their married life they lived at West Eaton. They had 8 children, Mrs. E. E. Hewitt of Detroit, Mrs. George Towsley, deceased, Gillis A. Hudson of Hamilton, Mrs. David York of Kirkville, Orson S. Hudson of Oneida, Mrs. J. C. Waldron of Hamilton, John J. Hudson, who died in infancy and Mrs. George Clark of North Brookfield. A half-brother, Gilbert Wires of Richfield Springs survives, also 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A year after the death of her husband, she married Luther Sanderson of Pine Woods, he died 10 years later. The services at the funeral of Mrs. Sanderson were conducted by the Rev. Mr. Mathewson. The four grandsons of the deceased acted as bearers. Interment was made in the family plot in Eaton Cemetery.

Born in Richfield Springs, NY. Dau. of John W. & Rebecca S. Omans Wise, married 29 Mar. 1834 Uriah T. Hudson, of Nelson & Eaton/W. Eaton, NY. and on 30 Mar. 1886 married Luther Sanderson who died in 1896, as his 3rd wife. Siviah had 9 children by Hudson, namely: (1)Elnora E. (Mrs. George Hewitt), (2)Arista, (3)Gillis Andrew (husb. of Adelia Potter), (4)Helen Loretta "Nellie" (Mrs. Harry Coan & Mrs. David J. York), (5)Orson Smith (husb. of Adeline Kinney), (6)Anna Lydia (wife of J. Christian Waldron), (7)John J., (8)Sophia, (9)DeEtt Siviah "Etta" (Mrs. George W. Clark). In her last years, Siviah was living in the 3d election district in Eaton, NY (June 1905) a widow, aged 88 years and having a Nurse with her) Died at the home of her daughter Etta (Mrs. Geo. W. Clark).
