WILLIE DUNN — Willie Dunn, the well-known golf professional, died at Musselburgh, after a painful illness, on Thursday at the age of fifty-nine years. Originally belonging to Musselburgh, he, for a period of fifteen years, had charge of the golfing green at Blackheath, after which he held a similar situation for a few years at Leith, but returned about ten years ago to his native town. Dunn was also well known at North Berwick, where he occasionally went in the summer season. As a golfer, he was in his day one of the most proficient, while his uniformly civil and courteous manner gained him many friends. His remains were interred in the Inveresk churchyard today, and the large number of followers fully showed the esteem in which he was held by those who knew him.
