Earl Everett Crouse, 84, of Fort Dodge, died Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 24 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. Darryl Landsverk officiating. Interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors presented by the VFW Post 1856. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Earl was born March 9, 1923, the son of Daniel and Mabel Crouse, in Laurel, Montana. He graduated from Otho High School. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

On February 22, 1947, Earl was united in marriage to Mary Lou Phillips in Fort Dodge at St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Earl's career which spanned more than 5 decades was spent in automobile sales and management both locally and throughout the state. Earl was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Over his lifetime Earl helped many strangers, family and friends.

Those thankful for having shared in Earl's life include his wife Mary, his children Clarissa (Larry) Finley of Ankeny, Connie (Dwight) Harder of Chandler, AZ, Wanda (Eric) Thorson of Jefferson City, TN, Sheila (Bruce) Williams of Broken Arrow, OK, Randy (Peggy) Crouse of Carlise and Chad (Elyce) Crouse of Murfreesboro, TN; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
