Services at Goodhope For Monroe Garrison
Funeral services for Monroe (Buddy) Garrison, 83-years-old farmer of the Arden Community, were conducted Monday at the Goodhope church by the Rev. Will Newton. Burial was in the Arden Cemetery.
Mr. Garrison, the son of Johnny and Rachel Hartley Garrison, was born Sept. 19, 1873, and died Saturday, April 13, 1957. He was married to Bessie Barton and two children were born to this union, Loda Garrison of the home and Mrs. Lora Bloomer, of route 3, Ava. A daughter by a former marriage, Mrs. Maud Davis of Durham, Okla., also survives. Other survivors include four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. Garrison spent most of his life in the Arden community.
