JOS GARRISON DIES AT HOME NEAR ARDEN, MO.
Jos Garrison, 73 years old, a lifelong resident of Douglas County died Friday at his home near Arden, on the same farm on which he was born, during the civil war. Funeral services were conducted Saturday by Rev. Walter Goss, followed by burial in the Arden Cemetery.
Mr. Garrison is survived by his wife and six children, all of whom were present during his final illness and at the funeral services. The children are, Frank Garrison, Stillwater, Okla.; Mrs. Joe Bradley, Stillwater, Okla.; Floyd, Robert and Leonard Garrison of the Arden community and Mrs. Prior Baird, Mansfield, Mo.

OBITUARY
Uncle Joe Garrison, a life-long resident of Douglas County, was born March 26, 1861, and departed this life, June 8, 1934, at the age of 73 years, 2 months and 13 days. He was married 49 years ago to Miss Sarah Gentry and to this union four boys and three girls were born. One girl having died in infancy.
He is survived by a loving wife, Mrs. Sarah Garrison, of Arden; six children, Mrs. Bertie Bradley, Stillwater, Okla.; Mrs. Lillie Baird, Mansfield, Mo.; Leonard, Floyd and Robert Garrison, all of the home address; and Frank Garrison of Stillwater, Okla.; two brothers, Marion Garrison of Clarksville, Ark.; and Buddy Garrison of Arden, sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Uncle Jose was a firm believer in the Lord and was loved by all who knew him. He was born during the Civil War on the place where he died, leaving a host of friends and relatives to mourn his departure.
Funeral services were held at the home, June 9, at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Walter Goss officiating. Interment was made in the Arden cemetery.
