Richard Thede, 61, New Liberty, Dies Following Stroke:

Richard Thede, 61, retired Scott county farmer, died at 5 a.m. Wednesday at the home of William Sievers, New Liberty, following a heart attack. He had been making his home with the Sievers.

Born near Dixon, March 3, 1889, Mr. Thede attended the rural schools in Scott county and for 20 years farmed near New Liberty. He retired a year ago.

Surviving are three brothers, William, Alvin and Emil Thede, all of Davenport, and three sisters, Mrs. Henry Stuhr, Bennett, Mrs. John Diedrich and Mrs. Charles Kuehl, both of Davenport. Several nieces and nephews also survive. His parents, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.

The body was removed to the Runge mortuary in Davenport.
