Merchant Marine for several years; settled in New York City and became a house painter. Sent for Petroslave Ginovich from Boka Kotorska to come over and marry him in New York. Had first five of their children in New York, then decided to go to the new Serb community in Los Angeles in 1914. Their last child was born in Los Angeles in February 1918, and lost his oldest daughter in November to Influenza November of the same year. Nicola was one of the first patients treated with Radiation for cancer at UCLA, but he died soon after in 1923, and was buried in the church yard of St Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in East LA (right now directly next to the 10 freeway.)
