Bert Dennis. 47, was stricken fatally with apoplexy about eight o'clock Friday morning at the Metropolitan garage on Jackson street, and died almost instantly.
Dennis was scrubbing a horse when the hand of death reached out for him. He had been employed about the garage for some time. Coroner Knoble made an investigation of the case.
Dennis is survived by a wife and daughter, and two brothers, George, of this city and Mack, of Port Clinton, the latter was expected here late in the afternoon to make arrangements for the funeral.
Dennis came of an old and well-known family in this city and had many friends here. For years he was a conductor on the Big Four.

Friends of the late Bert Dennis, who died suddenly of heart disease at the Metropolitan Livery and Garage where he was employed several weeks ago, have taken steps toward the erection of a suitable monument over the grave in Oakland cemetery. The order has been placed with C. Keim, the Market St. sculptor who is already at work on the design.
