Ynosencia Rivera, 88, of Abilene, died Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at her residence.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Francis Catholic Church on Friday, June 10, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Thomas Manimala officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. section of Abilene City Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd St.

Mrs. Rivera was born in Sweetwater, TX on December 28, 1916. She moved to Abilene in 1963 and was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. She was a homemaker who loved arts and crafts, knitting and being around her family.

She is survived by five sons and their wives, Johnny Rivera (Olivia) of Abilene, Rudy Rivera (Wanda) and David Rivera (Betty) all of Arlington, Edward Rivera ( Carol) and Paul Rivera (Cindy) all of Abilene; six daughters, Gloria Gonzalez of Abilene, Lydia Jaramillo (Miguel) of San Diego, CA, Emma Catterall (Al) of Baird, Linda Villalovos (Felix) of Abilene, Yolanda Calderon of San Antonio, and Debbie Sanchez of Abilene; two brothers, Jesse and Benny Meneses; four sisters, Cruz Ybarra, Jova Olguin, Margarita Gonzalez and Maria Reyes; 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cliofas and Ventura (Sanchez) Meneses; her husband, Paul Rivera, Sr. and a sister, Loisa Gutierrez.

Acting pallbearers will be Fred Rivera, David Lee Gonzalez, Kenneth Villalovos, Kevin Villalovos, Tony Rivera and Christopher Catterall.
