THATCHER - Kenneth Willard Thatcher Sr., age 76 of Newaygo and formerly of Belmont, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Hackley Hospital in Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his son, Kelly, in August of 2005. He is survived by JoAnn Shaft; his children, Ken Jr. and Johna Thatcher, Elizabeth and Sean Welch; step daughters, Vonnie and Joe Strohmier, Rhonda and Bart Patricelli, Tammy and Tim Richardson; 14 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; sisters, Kay Broham, Phyllis Crawford; brother, Bud Thatcher; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Janaury 31, 4 p.m. at the Hessel-Cheslek Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Vickey officiating. Friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Saturday 2 p.m. until time of service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to assist the family with expenses.
