John L. Dornacker, 77, died October 25, 1991, following a brief illness.
He had lived in Albuquerque since 1941 and was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha and daughter, Jane.

He is survived by two daughters, Ann Madaras and husband, Ken, and Mary Dornacker and Rick Schalk, all of Albuquerque; four grandchildren, Mary and Annemarie Madaras, Louis Schalk of Albuquerque and Naomi Knickerbocker of San Francisco, CA.

John was born in Turtle, North Dakota, educated at Mayville State College in Mayville, North Dakota, and at North Dakota State in Fargo, North Dakota.
He came to K.A.F.B. on June 30, 1941, with the Army, as Financial Clerk and was discharged with rank of Chief Warrant Officer.

He worked for Lovelace Foundation for nine years as Business Manager.
In 1956 he went to Quinn & Co., and remained an active Broker until his death.
John was a member of Ballut Abyad Temple, Ducks Unlimited, served on the Board of the Albuquerque Petroleum Club, Bataan Memorial Hospital and was an active Rotarian since 1948. He received the Paul Harris Fellow Award from Rotary in 1990.

John was an avid golfer and, horse racing enthusiast.

Memorial service to be held Wednesday, October 30, 1991, 4:00 p.m. at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 1100 Indian School Rd. NE, with Pastor Larry Wright and Melinda Wagner officiating.
