John Forrest
John Bedford Forrest, son of David Dutcher and Mary Elizabeth (Hoodenpyle) Forest, was born near Thornfield, Ozark Co, Missouri, January 13, 1874. He departed this life October 9, 1946 at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 18 days.
He came to Pearsall from Pueblo, Colorado in 1933, where he has resided since that time. He leaves four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Skelton of El Paso, Texas, Mrs Lillie Doxie of Ogallala, Neb., Mrs. Iva Henson of Portland, Ore., and Miss Ruby Forrest of Pearsall. One son, Delmar Forrest, of El Paso. There were two brothers, Wm. H. Forest of Denver,
Colorado, James Forest of Fort Smith, Arkansas who died in 1895. Also three half brothers, Chas. Forest of Harrison, Arkansas, Steadman Forest of Portland, Ore., Joseph Forest of Tulsa, Okla. Four sisters, Mrs. Linda Schwartz of Pueblo, Colo., Mrs. Ruth Pepper of Arkoma, Oklahoma,
Mrs. Sarah Denny of Santa Rosa, California who died January 19, 1937, and Mrs. Lydia Kennedy of Pearsall.
He was a member of the Christian Church in Pearsall and attended the World Communion Service held in this Church, Sunday, October 6, three days before he passed away. Funeral Services were held at the Church Sunday, October 13, at 3:00 pm. The Rainbow Girls' choir sang, R. Warren
