Sandy L. Spradau, 68, of Kiel and formerly of Madison, died unexpectedly on Wednesday September 8, 2021. She is the former Sandy Dhein, born January 27, 1953. Sandy grew up in Kiel, daughter of the late Daniel & Mildred (Schneider) Dhein. She graduated from Kiel High School.
Sandy worked for a number of years at Borden in Plymouth. She moved to Madison where she began her automotive career working with Thorstad Chevrolet, Madison. She most recently was an account representative for new cars at Wilde Honda until her retirement. Sandy was an avid pool player. She was active with the Bullseye League as well as many other sponsored teams. She was competitive at the national level, taking trips to Las Vegas to compete in tournaments. Sandy enjoyed watching football and was a huge Packer and Badger fan. She enjoyed her travels, especially her trips to Florida. Sandy was a lover of her dogs, she had many special pets through the years, she truly cherished the time she spent with them.
Survivors include her sisters and brother; Janice (Dick) Fogeltanz, Elizabeth Scharenbroch (Tom Stahl), Margie (Kevin) Jones, Jim (Barb) Dhein, sister-in-law; Cheri Dhein, brother-in-law; Roger Wriedt, her dear friend Judy Mueller. Further survived by aunts, uncles, numerous nieces and nephews including her God children; Lori, Christopher, Carleigh, Kelsey and Derik. She will be sadly missed by her dog, Johnny along with her other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Daniel & Mildred, sisters; Carol Akright, Nancy Wriedt, brothers; Tom Dhein, John Dhein, infant brother; Daniel Dhein Jr., niece; Danielle Dhein, brothers-in-law; Mike Scharenbroch, Walter Akright and sister-in-law; Kay Dhein.
A Memorial Service for Sandy will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday September 18, 2021 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home (815 6th St. Kiel) with Deacon Pat Knier officiating. A time of visitation for family and friends will take place at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:30pm until the time of service at 4:00pm. Burial in the SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery will follow. A celebration of life will take place following the service and burial.
