Kunigunde Margaret Vogel was the daughter of Kunigunda and Andrew Vogel. She arrived in the US from Bavaria in 1866. She met and married John Aloysius Seidel on June 17, 1884. They had 9 children. Her son Leonard married Emma Porta. Emma died leaving behing 2 young daughters (Hilda Louise - 3 yrs old and Alma - 1 yr old). Leonard raised them for the next 11 years until his untimely death - the girls then went to live with their grandparents Alma to John and Louisa Porta and Hilda Louise went to live with Kunigunde and John Seidel.
