Mrs. Znobbie Collier Harris was born to the late Ms. Betty Collier and the late Mr. Milwood Denson on February 28, 1959, in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. Znobbie was educated in the Thomaston City School System. In high school, she was an outstanding basketball player. She graduated from R.E. Lee Institute with the class of 1978. In 1976, Znobbie met and fell in love with Curtis Dickerson Harris, Sr. On March 29, 1980, they were joined in Holy Matrimony. They became the proud parents of three children, They took their vows seriously, through sickness and health. They shared 38 years together until his passing on April 5, 2018. Znobbie was employed by Thomaston Mills for several years. She attended Flint Technical School and earned a degree in Early Childhood. She was employed by Upson County School System for over 13 years as a Par-professional and lastly for Newton County Public Schools for one year. At an early age, she joined Logtown Bethel Church. She was a faithful member who loved singing in the choir. She was a member of the Mother Ministry and past member of the Usher's Ministry. She loved hearing the preached word of God. She supported her church as well as her pastor. During her leisure time, she enjoyed going to church, singing, shopping, family gatherings, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was known for wearing pearls with any outfit, wearing glasses on top of her head, and dressing up. She was preceded in death by: her parents and her husband. On Thursday, July 29, 2021, her journey on this side was completed. The Lord called her home to eternal rest. Her departure has saddened the hearts of her family, her church family, and the many friends who will miss her presence, but her memory will live on. She is survived by: three children, Ms. Charmion Harris of Yatesville, GA, Mrs. Tawana (Perry) Akridge of Covington, GA, and Mr. Curtis (Angel) Harris Jr., of Douglasville, GA; seven grandchildren, Ms. Sante'Erra Rockemore, who was raised as her own, Jerrick Jordan, Alise Akridge, Kyla Harris, Kendall Harris, Jaxon Harris, and Journee Terrell; sisters and brothers, Mrs. Beverly Drake, Ms. Peggy Collier, Ms. Denise Lockett, Mr. Timothy (Ceretha) Collier, Mr. Michael (Heavenly) Denson, Mrs. Diane (Jim) Daniel, Ms. Lisa Denson, Ms. Tawana Searcy, Ms. Nita Childs, Mr. Kenneth (Natalie) Childs, all of Thomaston, GA, Mrs. Susan (Carl) Trice of Hampton, GA, Mr. Maurice (Bennie) Collier of Douglasville, GA, Mr. Kelcey (Charva) Collier, and Ms. Bonnie Badgett, both of Atlanta, GA, Mr. Marvin (Michelle) McGill of Dallas, GA, Ms. Debra Reeves of Detroit, MI, Ms. Darcell Felipa of Baltimore, MD, and Mr. Dennis Worthy of AlbanyGA; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Geraldine (Jeffery) White of Macon, GA, and Ms. Janice Dickerson, of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
