Services for Robert Asa Stovall Sr., 73, of Anniston will be Wednesday Sept. 15, 2021 at 4:00 pm in the Toby Miller Chapel at Miller Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday Sept. 14, 2021 from 6-8pm at Miller Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Bethlehem Baptist cemetery. With Rev. James E. Stovall officiating.
Mr. Stovall is preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Maddie Kate Stovall, a great grandson, Grayson Knox West, Mother and Father, Rev. Marvin E. and Audrey Mae Stovall, 5 brothers, Baby Edward Ross, Marvin E., "Big" Jack, Leon and Tony Stovall, 3 sisters, Helen Stanley, Sally Stovall, Wanda Kidd, son in law David Driggers, daughter in law Lisa Stovall.
Robert is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley Stovall. Daughter, Audrey Stovall (Rusty Bowman), sons, Robert Asa Stovall Jr. (Laura), James E. Stovall (Wendy) and Robert Blake Stovall (Elizabeth), Honorary son Gene McGlaughn (Cathy) and Honorary daughter, Melissa Kelley, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Stovall loved his family, old music, Houston Texas, and Chickens which were like family pets. Him and Shirley loved to go on drives and enjoying his time with her. Mr. Stovall was of the Baptist faith and a member of Ten Island Baptist.
Pallbearers will be Gene McGlaughn, Randall McGlaughn, Jerry King, Tyler Freeman, Larry Dotson (Bigfoot), Channing Pruitt and Bryan Wright.
