Ada Marie Robbins, 81, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on December 16, 1939 in Hazard , KY, the daughter of the late William Carmack and Orleana (Deaton) Carmack. On March 21, 1958 she married James Luther Robbins, who survives. She was a longtime member of New Providence Baptist Church in Austin, IN.
Ada loved to bowl and watch her hummingbirds. She use to participate in there local bowing league and attend classic car shows for many years with her husband. Ada was a former employee of U.S. Shoe in Crothersville, IN and retired from Walmart Distribution Center in Seymour, IN. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her one brother, Billy Ray Carmack and one sister, Athalean Carmack.
Survivors include her husband, Luther of Scottsburg; one son, Robbie R. Robbins of Scottsburg; one daughter, Rhonda K. (Tom) Cutshall of Austin; three sisters, Anna Lee Burns and Dana Herald both of Scottsburg and Brenda (Ed) Pennington of Austin; two grandchildren, Matthew (April) Cutshall of Owensboro, KY and Derin (Tallas) Cutshall of Crothersville, and four great grandchildren, Teagan & Tatum Cutshall of Crothersville and Maddox & Parker Cutshall of Owensboro, KY.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at New Providence Baptist Church in Austin with Pastor Randy King officiating. Interment followed at the New Providence Cemetery.
