Son of Daniel Boone III and Mary Constance Philibert. Daniel had migrated to Westport, Jackson County, Missouri from Saint Charles County, prior to his marriage on 19 Jan 1832 in Westport. This should clarify any questions of whether Napoleon was born in Saint Charles. Mary Constance (Constatia) had emigrated from Maskinonge, Mauricie Region, Quebec, Canada to Westport.

Napoleon was the fifth of twelve children born to Daniel III and Mary Constance in Westport. On January 14, 1869 he married Jane "Jennie" Douglass in Jackson County. Jennie was the daughter of William Douglass and Emily Dooley.
