Charles Delano Clouser, 76, of Elwood, Indiana passed away peacefully, on December 21, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo surrounded by his loving family. Charlie fought a short battle with cancer but walked proudly into the arms of God and his loved ones who were waiting for him.
Charles was born on May 7, 1939 to Oakley Leo and Mary Lema (Summers) Clouser in Tipton County. He was raised on a farm and learned how to work hard and love nature as well as how to be a very loving person to friends but practically everyone he met. Charlie's heart was huge and he wasn't afraid to let other know the love he had for them.

Charlie graduated from Windfall High School in 1957 and went on to join the Army, where he served for 8 years. He then worked at General Motors, Delco Electronics for 29 years, retiring in February 1993. After retiring from Delco, he worked several part-time jobs including Tipton Ford, Tipton Library and Ace Hardware, retiring "for real" in 2002. Charlie was a member of Austin Masonic Lodge in Tipton, American Legion and the Madison County V.F.W.

Charlie was married on November 3, 1979 and they had 36 of the most love-filled years together, while enjoying leisurely car rides looking for deer and eagles, as well as just "riding who knows where" but he first and foremost loved spending time with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. He was known by many names to them including GG, Grandpa Charlie along with Candy Man and he absolutely loved answering to each!

Charlie is survived by second his wife and their daughter, and five children, whom he had with first wife- who also survives.

He was the youngest of 13 children and is survived by four sisters and one brother; Betty, Lamoine, Marlene, Jane and Ellen.

Charlie was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, siblings Virginia, Fred, Art, Ray, John, Gene and Bill. There were several others waiting with open arms including mother in-laws, sister and brother in-laws and one great grandson Ashton Drake.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Please make memorial contributions in Charlie's name to the Hamilton County Humane Society or The Wounded Warrior Project.
