Died - This morning at 1:30 o'clock at her home at 104 South C street, Mrs. Catherine Carter, wife of R.M. Carter. The deceased was born in Carroll county, Ohio, June 15, 1835. In March, 1878, she came to this city and has resided here ever since. Several weeks since Mrs. Carter was taken sick and although she was given the best of medical attention, death claimed her. The funeral will occur Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence and will be conducted by Rev. Lyon, of the M.E. church south, of which church the deceased was a member. The burial will be at Parker cemetery. Mrs. Carter was the mother of two children. Mrs. Lizzie Porch, of Marion, Ohio, and O.E. Stevenson, of Vinita, I.T. Bother were with her in her last moments and administered to her wants. In the death of Mrs. Carter, Arkansas City loses a good Christian woman and friends of the family are sincere in extending their sympathy to the bereaved members of the family.
