Evan Freiberg passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold, NJ. He was 47 years old.
Born in Baldwin, NY, he resided in Stony Brook before moving to Englishtown six years ago. He graduated from Rochester University, earned his PhD degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and his MD degree from the School of Medicine at Stony Brook University.
Before becoming a radiologist for the University Radiology Group, he was a chemist for Argonne National Laboratory.
Evan was a congregant of the Marlboro Jewish Center. He was also a member of the Middlesex County Medical Society and American Radiologists.
He enjoyed running, swimming and going to the gym, watching baseball, but his absolute favorite activities included spending time with his family.
Surviving are his loving wife of 10 years, Felicia (née Korman); their children, Leo and Abigail; his parents, Abraham "Eddie" and Linda (née Marcus) Freiberg of Baldwin, NY; his brothers, Jay Freiberg and his wife, Denise, of New York, NY , and Sandy Freiberg and his husband, Tim Kelliher, of Beverly, MA, his sister, Patti Azzizo and her husband, Jack, and many extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 12:45 pm, at Beth Abraham Cemetery, 617 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, under the directions of Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick.
