Biographical Notes:
In 1910, when Baron was in Joplin, Missouri, with his family, he worked in a bakery as a baker. He had completed the 7th grade and had gone to work. He would never stray far from the baking profession.

In 1920, again with his family who had moved to Los Angeles, he worked as a baker in a cracker factory. He continued in that employment in 1930, and remained with his family. At age 46, with his father and sister Mabel, in Los Angeles, 1940, he had been unemployed for 35 weeks and was looking for work. It would not be long before he found his way back to the cracker factory, which is where he met his wife, Goldie.

Baron and Goldie worked for the Nabisco Company, which had been purchased by Nabisco from the Bishop Candy Company in 1930, and manufactured crackers, among other products.

Baron married Goldie Mildred Polick on May 25, 1946, in Los Angeles, with Mabel LaRue as his witness, and Goldie's mother, Ina, as hers. It was the first marriage for both Baron and Goldie. The marriage license noted that he was a baker in a cracker factory, and Goldie was employed as a cracker packer. At the time, Baron was a resident in Los Angeles city, and Goldie was living in Inglewood, California, in Los Angeles County. They were married in Inglewood by a minister of the Church of the Nazarene. Baron was 52, and his bride was 33.
