John V. Sarchione, 91, of Alliance, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Community Care Center in Alliance, Ohio.

Born on February 14, 1926 in Alliance, Ohio to Joseph E. and Fannie (Caravella) Sarchione, he lived in Alliance all of his life. He was member of Christ United Methodist Church.

John received his education from Alliance High School and then entered our armed forces, serving in World War II in the U.S. Navy. He was stationed aboard the USS Mascoma, which was positioned alongside the USS Missouri on September 2, 1945 when Japan surrendered. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1036, and the American Legion, Post 166.

John was Past President of Sarchione & Sons and Sarchione Realty. He was a member of the Dante Alighieri Society, Christopher Columbus Society, Roma Club, Alliance Masonic Temple, Conrad Lodge; Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton; the Alliance Shrine Club and the Al Koran of Cleveland, OH.

Survivors include his daughter, Joanne Springer of Alliance; three grandsons, Jason and his wife Kendra Springer & their son Dominic of Alliance, Joseph Springer of Sebring, and Jonathan and his wife Amber Springer & their son David of Sebring; several nieces and nephews; his companion, Judy Bowman of Alliance; and his former son-in-law, Jim Springer of Sebring.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Jennie (Viola) Sarchione, whom he married on October 17, 1954; his parents, Joseph E. & Fannie Sarchione, Sr.; four sisters, Mary Andriotti, Elizabeth Admonius, Mildred Sarchione and Jane Kuches; three brothers, Joe Sarchione, Jr., Eugene Sarchione, and Harry Sarchione, Sr.

The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Hostettler and the staff at Danbury Senior Living for their excellent care given to John during his stay there. Also, much gratitude to the staff at Community Care Center during his final days.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, and also on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm.
His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors, will immediately follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
