Rev. John M. Grimes was the son of Moses and Ruth (Ketchum) Grimes. He was the husband of Rachel (Candfield) Taylor Grimes. Rachel died March 15, 1888. Rev. Grimes was a minister in the Oneida Conference and Wyoming Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
