Mrs. Betty Guthrie Ledbetter, age 69, of Cedartown, passed away Sunday, February 28, 1999. Mrs. Ledbetter was July 21, 1929 in Cobb County. She was a member of Armuchee Church of God. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmy Guthrie and her sons, Jimmy Guthrie and Steve Guthrie. She is survived by her husband Joseph D. Ledbetter of Rome; one son, Greg Guthrie of Cedartown; two grandchildren, Joel Guthrie and Beth Guthrie, both of Cedartown; one brother, David J. Dupree of Columbia, Tenn.; and three sisters, Sue Morris of Marietta; Yvonne Touchton of Douglas, GA. and Odean Ingram of Centre, Ala. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 2, 1999 from the chapel of Litesey Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Izell and Rev. Delton Harne officiating. Interment followed in the Polk Memory Gardens. Pallbearers included Paul Guthrie, Steve Guthrie, Willie Guthrie, James Guthrie, Tim Tuck and Jerry Dupree. Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
