ALMA'S OBITUARY
Alma Atkinson, 88, passed away Monday afternoon (October 4, 2021) at her home in Queen City, Missouri.
The daughter of Willard Caswell and Goldie Lucille (Danielson) Mc Bee she was born at home in rural Queen City. She grew up in the Queen City area and attended the Brown and Hartford rural schools. She attended the Queen City High School graduating with the class of 1951.
Alma was united in marriage to Robert Atkinson on July 4, 1952 and they lived in Queen City. She continued to live in Queen City while Robert was in the service. Upon his discharge in 1955 they moved to Joliet, Illinois. In 1956 they moved back to Queen City while Robert finished his college education. In 1959 they moved to Davenport, Iowa, where Robert worked at Oscar Meyers for the next thirty-three years. In 2016 they moved back to Queen City.
She is survived by her husband, Robert, daughters; Brenda Sidwell and husband Sidney of Queen City, Mo., and Jani Bailey and husband Mike of Greentop, Mo., a son-in-law Fred Stamer of Bettendorf, Ia. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; Trenton Stamer and wife Kate of Orion, Ill.,Andrew Stamer and wife Jen of Los Angles, Ca., Alex Stamer, and wife Justine of Bettendorf, Ia., Reid Stamer and wife Nikki of Cedar Rapids, Ia., Anna Stamer of Davenport, Ia., Brooke Swindler and husband Seth of Norborne, Mo., Ashley Beeler and husband Mitch of Broken Arrow, Ok., Jeffrey Bailey of Queen City, Mo., and Autumn Bailey of Greentop, Mo. Also surviving are thirteen great grandchildren; Clara Stamer, Marley Stamer, Harper Stamer, Zola Stamer, Mayla Stamer, Ella Stamer, Seth Krolikowski, Logan Krolikowski, Brody Swindler, Tyler Swindler, Mattis Beeler, Brock Beeler, and Trax Beeler, a sister Constance Davis and husband Daryl of Queen City, Mo. She is also survived by on brother Jim McBee and wife Kim of Las Vegas, Nevada and several nieces and nephews.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Becky Stamer, a great granddaughter, Zoe Stamer, and brothers; Lewis (Doc) McBee and Marvin McBee.
She was a member of the St Paul Luthern Church in Davenport, Iowa.
Alma was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
She had a huge group of friends in Davenport and continued to keep in contact with them.
She was a Girl Scout leader for a few years and really enjoyed working with the girls.
Alma loved to read and write stories, enjoyed her flowers, loved her animals, and really loved to quilt and had made over one hundred quilts.
Private family services will be held at a later date.

In 1959 they moved to Davenport, Iowa, where Robert worked at Oscar Meyers for the next thirty-three years. In 2016 they moved back to Queen City.
She is survived by her husband, Robert, daughters; Brenda Sidwell and husband Sidney of Queen City, Mo., and Jani Bailey and husband Mike of Greentop, Mo., a son-in-law Fred Stamer of Bettendorf, Ia. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; Trenton Stamer and wife Kate of Orion, Ill.,Andrew Stamer and wife Jen of Los Angles, Ca., Alex Stamer, and wife Justine of Bettendorf, Ia., Reid Stamer and wife Nikki of Cedar Rapids, Ia., Anna Stamer of Davenport, Ia., Brooke Swindler and husband Seth of Norborne, Mo., Ashley Beeler and husband Mitch of Broken Arrow, Ok., Jeffrey Bailey of Queen City, Mo., and Autumn Bailey of Greentop, Mo. She is also survived by on brother Jim McBee and wife Kim of Las Vegas, Nevada and several nieces and nephews.
