Maj-Lén Finnig Anderson, 73, passed away peacefully at home October 6, 2021.
Born December 8, 1947, in Helsinki, Finland, to Erik Olavi Finnig and Sylvia Olga Hänninen.

Maj-Lén heard the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on October 11, 1963. She served a mission under the Finnish mission president and enjoyed a variety of special assignments. This led to her meeting the love of her life, who was serving a mission in Finland. She was sealed to Eldon Milton Anderson in the Salt Lake Temple on June 6, 1968. They were blessed with eight children: Santhi (Andrew) Martin; Kristina (Robert) Nytch; Julie (Seth) Johnson; Leif (Rebecca) Anderson; Sundar Anderson, Santhana Anderson; Tanja (James) Biddulph; Michael Fridolf Anderson; and Charles Samuel Anderson. They now have 24 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and baby sons, Michael and Charles.

Maj-Lén delighted in her divine roles of wife and mother and cherished this sacred duty. She served in the Jordan River Temple for over 20 years. Even as a child, she loved the story of the boy prophet, Samuel, being raised in the temple, and she felt the temple to be her home.

Maj-Lén and Eldon served in the Ohio Cincinnati Mission in 2015-2016. Maj-Lén has loved ones and friends around the globe that will miss her dearly. She is a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ, and we look forward to being reunited with her in His presence.
