Henry Abare, 21 Arch Street, Green Island, died Sunday at Cohoes Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Vermont, he had lived in Green Island for the last thirty years, employed by the D & H Railroad. For the last few years he had been crossing tender at the Arch Street gate. He is survived by his widow, the former Elizabeth Subcliffe; three daughters, Mrs. V Davis Sickler of Albany and the Misses Lillian and Helen Abare of Green Island, and a son, Henry Abare of Green Island. He leaves a sister, Mrs. Emma Mumely, and a brother, Charles Abare, both of Canada. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. today from the resdence and at 9:30 a.m. from St. Joseph's Church, Green Island, of which he was a communicant. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
