ELLAVILLE, GA – Mrs. Lizzie Mae Peek, 93, of Ellaville, passed away on March 24, 2020 at her daughter's residence. A private family funeral service will be held. Rev. Joel Smith will officiate. A Celebration of Life service will be planned for a future date.

Mrs. Peek was born January 10, 1927 in Fayetteville, Georgia to the late J. C. Willoughby and Cora Mae Bishop Willoughby. She had worked at Manhattan Shirt Company. Mrs. Peek was an active member of Ellaville Baptist Church where she was a member of the Gleaners Sunday School class, the JOY Club and sung in the choir for many years. She also had taught Sunday School for over 60 years. Mrs. Peek loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth Peek (Debra) of Ellaville; one daughter, Melba Welch (Clarence) of Ellaville; seven grandchildren, Kenny Peek (Monica), Kris Peek (Jennifer), Jessica Phillips, Kurtis Peek, Kerri Welch, Whitney Welch, Haley Welch; seven great grandchildren, Chance Peek, Hannah Morrow, Nathan Jackson, Madelyn Dunston, Doyle Peek, Jasmine Phillips and Kendell Phillips. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Peek was preceded in death by her husband, Arlin G. Peek and her siblings, Marjorie Harris, Pauline Davis and William "Billy" Willoughby.
