Betty Jean Dulaney 71 of Davenport Iowa, passed away on October 13, 2021 in Davenport after fighting several years of health issues. A visitation to celebrate Betty's life will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2021 from 4-6pm at Weerts Funeral Home. Funeral services will be private. Betty will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials in her name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Betty was born in Iowa City, Iowa to Homer and Jewel Appleby on February 24, 1950. She married Gary Dulaney on July 17, 1971 in Davenport Iowa. She worked for several years at Riefe's Restaurant, but devoted her life mostly as a mother and grandmother to her three children and five grandchildren. Her pride and joy was spending time with her grandchildren and getting to take care of them in their baby and toddler years. She also, enjoyed camping, fishing, playing bingo and of course taking her grandchildren to Tastee-Freeze for the ice cream flavor of the week before becoming ill.

Betty is survived by her husband Gary; daughters: Michelle Heinrichs, Tammy (Jeremy) McAuliffe, grandsons: Bradley Heinrichs, Keagen McAuliffe, Luke Heinrichs and Caleb Heinrichs; granddaughter Kira McAuliffe; six brothers; and two Sisters. Betty is preceded in death by her son Brian, her parents Homer and Jewel Appleby, son-in-law David Heinrichs and brother Jerry Appleby.
